Course Description:
Students who like to work with their hands and enjoy the challenge of working with metals should consider the Welding program. The program is designed to accommodate both male and female students. This program provides training in the following welding processes: shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, flux cored arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding on steel, aluminum and stainless steel. Students will gain experience in identifying and joining a wide range of metals and will develop the special skills necessary for success in the trade. The Welding program prepares students for jobs in construction, manufacturing, and repair work. Student success in the Welding program is enhanced by good communication skills, basic math abilities, and a sound work ethic.

Two years to earn an AWS Sense Entry Level Certificate
Salary Range:
$22,500-$50,700 annual wage (average wage $35,370)
Class Schedule:
1st and 2nd Period: Welding 8:00-10:40
"A" Lunch 10:40-11:10
Conference 11:20-12:30
4th and 5th Period: Welding 12:40-3:10
